Modular Origami
Modular origami is a multi-stage paper folding technique where many simple parts create a larger and more complex structure than would be possible using single-piece origami techniques. Each individual sheet is folded, and modules are assembled into a three-dimensional structure.
It takes 20 individual folded modules to create one of these pieces in a multistep process. They are made with archival cardstock and each center has a beautiful bead that adds to the support of the structure. This course takes you from flat paper to final piece.
They make great Holiday ornaments, wedding centerpieces, or general décor.
